How it works
CRMX (LumenRadio) carries a DMX universe over radio, reliably, with receivers built into many recent fixtures (battery PARs, tubes, film panels) or in a separate box. With Halyx:
- the PC sends Art-Net or sACN over the network;
- a node port outputs DMX to the CRMX transmitter (for example a LumenRadio CRMX Luna);
- fixtures linked to the transmitter receive the universe, wirelessly.
The same universe can go out both on a cabled port and on a port connected to the transmitter: a universe copied to several ports only counts once in the licence.
Battery fixtures, ready to patch
The Halyx library includes battery fixtures and film lighting: battery LED PARs, tubes (Astera, Aputure, Nanlite…), panels and matrices. Each profile gives its modes and channels, taken from the manufacturer's documentation.
Good habits
- link the receivers to the transmitter before the show (on the transmitter, or from the fixture);
- keep the transmitter high, away from metal structures;
- help for connecting a CRMX transmitter is in the Halyx Outputs screen.
