Fixtures cabled, or wireless through a CRMX transmitterHalyx computes 40 DMX frames per second and sends them as Art-Net 4 (with ArtSync) or sACN (E1.31, adjustable priority, multicast) to nodes of any brand: ODE MK3, Luminex LumiNode, DMXking eDMX, Swisson, Obsidian… A node with 1 to 32 ports, up to 255 universes. Halyx also reads the ODE MK3's configuration.
A real output patch
In the Outputs screen, each port of each node receives the Halyx universe it should output, independently of the number set on the node:
- a universe can go out on several ports, universes can stay unused;
- removing a node never shifts the others;
- the "Universes → outputs" table shows where each universe goes, and flags a patched universe that goes nowhere;
- two universes sent to the same number on a node are flagged on every screen;
- a universe is renumbered in one gesture ("Output U3 as U1"): its fixtures and its ports together, nothing changes on the cables.
RDM: address without climbing the ladder
Halyx discovers RDM fixtures connected to a node port, and changes their DMX address or mode remotely. A big time saver during the get-in.
A stage network without surprises
On a fixed-address network without a gateway, Windows often classes the network as "Public" and blocks the tablets. Halyx detects it and says so, in the launch window and in Outputs, with the button that opens the right setting. The DMX monitor shows the truth channel by channel, and a node that disappears from the network is flagged at once.
